Introduction

Welcome to my Kingdom of Simland.

As you will have surely noticed by now, The Kingdom of Simland is nothing more than maxis' Pleasantview (as well as the other additional subhoods + Strangetown thrown into the mix) done over in a medieval setting. Why go into all this bother you ask? Simply put I love playing Pleasantview and I love playing Sims 2 with a medieval theme, but sadly I do not have the time or energy to play both. One day I was pondering this awfully tragic dilemma of mine when this quite mad idea simply popped inside my head; "Why not play them both at the same time?" And I thought to myself "Well now, thats not a bad idea." And so here we are, my little blog of a medieval Pleasantview.

The Kingdom of Simland comprises of three Fiefdoms; The Duchy of Pleasantview (Pleasantview), The Barony of Bluewater (Bluewater Village) and The March of Strange (Strangetown). The Royal Court is located at Downton Keep (Downtown) which lies at the center of the Kingdom. In addition there are three Universities; La Fiesta Workshop(La Fiesta Tech) - Journeyman Studies, Simland University(Sim State University) - Clerical Studies and Academie Le Tour - Nobility Finishing School. As well as three distant realms a sim wishing to travel may journey to for either trade or pilgramage; Three Lakes (Nordic), Twikki Island (Arabic) and Takemizu (Silk Road).

Oh, in case you are wondering why 'Simland' instead of something more elegant? English=England so I figured Simlish=Simland. Boring I know.
